Mentors Day

WHAT IS MENTORS DAY?

For Mentors Day, communications professionals volunteer to come mentor BYU communications students. Interested communications students will sign up for 15-minute appointments with individual mentors. Mentors would answer questions such as, "Why did you choose to go into your field?", "What is an entry-level job and starting salary like in the field?", or "What can I do to broaden my experience and make myself more attractive to an employer?" Mentors might also be asked to look at student portfolios and resumes. We are asking those who are interested in helping on Mentors Day to plan on spending 1-1/2 to 2 hours with students between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on those days. It's a great day for all those who participate.

Once each fall and winter semester

If you would like to be involved in Mentors Day or would like more information, please contact our outreach coordinator, Jacey Reynolds at jacey@byu.edu or 801-422-4510.
