OED is seeking a qualified intern with solid writing skills, design ability, and working knowledge of the latest tools and trends across social media platforms.
The intern will assist OED's Communications and Public Affairs Director across multiple outlets to help inform staff, stakeholders and the broader public about Office priorities and success including events and ribbon cuttings, press releases, website content, social media, newsletters, and videos.

The Ideal Candidate

The intern should be a university junior, senior, or recent graduate with former internships and/or work experience. Their major should be in one of the following:
Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism

The ideal intern will possess leadership qualities of collaboration, creativity, organization, and problem solving, and will be encouraged to bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to communications opportunities.

Interns should be proficient in the following:
·  Microsoft Office 
·  Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
·  Word Press (desired, but not required)
·  Adobe Creative Suite (desired, but not required)
