Marcus Hardy is a communications manager at Fiserv, a Fortune 500 financial services technology firm. He drives external communications for several business lines at company, with a specific focus on credit unions, banks, and on promoting thought leadership and research from Raddon.
Marcus leads the creation of external communications strategy, messaging and agency direction for his segments of the business — using integrated communications tactics including media relations, social media, and marketing communications to build and forward the Fiserv brand. Additionally, he trains Fiserv associates on social media, presentation, interview, and brand knowledge skills, and has directed numerous client-centric video projects.
Prior to his 2016 relocation to Utah, Marcus worked in New York City at Codeword and at CooperKatz & Company (now G&S Business Communications). While in New York, he served as the Public Affairs Director for his stake in Queens. He is a 2011 graduate of the BYU communications program, a recipient of the Rulon L. Bradley Award, a current board member for the Greater Salt Lake Chapter of PRSA, and a past interim-President for Utah Valley PRSA, which joined with the Greater Salt Lake Chapter in 2020.
Marcus began teaching at BYU in 2016. In his spare time, he plays percussion as a hobbyist and occasional gigging musician. His spouse, Erica, is a Suzuki cello instructor. They have three children.
