Matt Hargreaves is the Vice President of Communications for the Utah Farm Bureau Federation, a non-profit advocacy organization that serves Utah’s farmers, ranchers, and consumers. It has as its mission to inspire all Utah families to connect, succeed, and grow through the ‘Miracle of Agriculture’. His responsibilities include guiding the organization’s advocacy communications, consumer outreach, digital communications & social media, and internal communication. Prior to joining the Utah Farm Bureau in 2006, Hargreaves worked for Politis Communications, a local technology communications firm. Hargreaves received his Master of Public Administration (MPA) in 2007 from the University of Utah, and Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Public Relations from BYU in 2004, including a Minor in Business Management. Hargreaves completed internships in the U.S. and Utah State Senates, and is involved in public policy. He has taught adjunct courses in strategic communications planning and brand journalism. Professionally, Hargreaves has won Golden Spike awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and served several years on the board of directors for its Greater Salt Lake Chapter. He has also received numerous agricultural communications awards for work in public relations and writing.
Hargreaves resides in Spanish Fork with his wife and three boys.
