QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Qualifications: Required:
· Experience with managing social media
· Knowledge of videography/photography for reels and static posts
· Design software experience (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)
· Meticulous attention to detail and strong creativity
· Proactivity and responsibility to follow through with the tasks assigned
· Serve as an example of BYU Dress and Grooming standards
· Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and possess a growth mindset

Preferred:
· Experience with Brightspot, Canva or other design tools
· Strong team work and collaboration abilities
· Experience with graphic design, writing, websites or general marketing
· Majors or minors in Communications, Marketing, or another related field

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES

1. Social Media Content Creation & Posting: Design, create, script, edit, and post content for Sorensen Center events, communications, initiatives and the center as a whole. Manage and produce content that clearly communicates the vision and mission of the Sorensen Center in order to establish a strong personality and brand presence while growing a following. Content calendars should be created and approved at least two weeks before the new month begins.

2. Assist in general communications efforts: Be familiar with Sorensen marketing campaigns, assist in wide-scale communication efforts and collaborate with media, writing, website and design team members.

3. Help to advertise and promote Sorensen Efforts: Collaborating internally and externally to know the scope of what we do and be well versed in events to post. Helping to film, curate and post reels and creative outreach to help engage our audience and connect them to our resources.
