Daniel Woodruff has spent nearly his entire career as a journalist. He has worked as a reporter and anchor in Indiana, Wisconsin, and Utah. He also spent a few years working in public relations.
A native of Provo, Daniel holds bachelor's and master's degrees in communications from Brigham Young University. He has taught college courses since 2011. In 2023, he joined the adjunct faculty in the BYU School of Communications.
Daniel has covered many major stories including the Great Recession and its effects, the Wisconsin recall elections, the inauguration of President Donald Trump, the Westminster Bridge terror attack in London, the Dakota Access Pipeline Protests in North Dakota, the Brian Head fire, the Las Vegas mass shooting, and the Lori Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell murder trials.
