"The responsibility for each person’s social, emotional, spiritual, physical or economic well-being rests first upon himself, second upon his family, and third upon the Church if he is a faithful member thereof. No true Latter-day Saint, while physically or emotionally able, will voluntarily shift the burden of his own family’s well-being to someone else.”
President Spencer W. Kimball

Financial Assistance

Students completing the internship credit required for graduation must pay tuition on those credits. We recognize that doing an unpaid internship while also covering tuition costs can be financially challenging. To help ease this burden, there are scholarships and financial aid opportunities available, many of which are linked below.

We strongly encourage students to apply for all merit-based and need-based scholarships for which they qualify. Please note that many of these applications for the next academic year are due by January 20th.

Finally, be aware that most university or federal aid programs require a minimum credit enrollment, which is often higher than the 4.0 credits of the internship course. If you need additional credits but cannot attend classes on campus, please speak with the main office secretaries about enrolling in COMMS 398R (Projects in Communications) or COMMS 495R (Research & Readings in Communications Practice) to help meet the requirement.
