QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
- Excellent writing and communication skills are essential.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: communication, public relations, advertising, marketing or publishing.
- Preference will be given to students pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, experience design and management (EXDM), or a related field.
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, Asana, Mailchimp and video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro) is beneficial.
- Knowledge of SEO, Facebook for Business, AdWords helpful.
- Motivated and energetic self-starter with strong time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, excellent people skills, and a passion for music and performing arts.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
- Write, organize, and coordinate promotional content, including but not limited to news releases, email campaigns, newsletters, and brochures.
- Support directors and their social media teams with audience-building strategies, content brainstorming, and asset creation.
- Design flyers, digital ads, video clips, and promotional materials using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Assist in implementing digital advertising campaigns on social media and contribute to playlisting efforts on Spotify.
- Create and post engaging social media content on behalf of BYU performing groups to grow and engage their audiences across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, YouTube).
- Perform additional tasks as needed

This position is part of a team of student marketing assistants, managed by the full-time PAM Marketing Manager. Tasks are shared among the team based on bandwidth, skills, and opportunities for skill development.
