DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES

  • Local Reporting: Cover news and events happening across Utah, from community happenings, local and state government, to state-wide developments.
  • Story Development: Research and write articles that bring Utah’s culture, history, government and current events to life.
  • Event Coverage: Report on local events, public meetings and gathering, and festivals with accuracy and enthusiasm.
  • Interviewing: Connect with community members, leaders, and experts to add depth and authenticity to your reporting.
  • Fact-Checking: Ensure every name, date, and fact in your stories is spot-on.
  • Collaboration: Work with editors and reporters to craft compelling, truthful narratives that resonate with Utahns.
  • Social Media Engagement: Help share stories online and keep a pulse on local conversations.
