QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
Required:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree at BYU.
- Familiarity with popular social media platforms and best practices.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and creative content.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Instagram Analytics, Twitter Analytics).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Passion for social media and digital marketing.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks.
Preferred:
- Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for content creation.
- Familiarity with paid social media advertising (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager).
- Previous experience managing social media accounts for an organization, club, or personal project.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
- Assist in the creation and execution of social media strategies for various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok).
- Develop engaging content (e.g., text, images, videos, stories) tailored to each social media platform.
- Schedule and manage social media posts using scheduling tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar.
- Monitor and engage with followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner.
- Analyze social media metrics and provide weekly reports on performance, growth, and engagement.
- Research and stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to implement in strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure content aligns with brand voice and overall marketing goals.
- Assist with social media campaigns, influencer outreach, and collaborations.
- Help identify growth opportunities for audience development and engagement.
