QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
- Up-to-date with industry leading software and technologies
- Professionalism regarding deadlines, attitude, and working manner
- Knowledge of Pinterest Marketing and SEO
- Graphic design experience and good eye for design - basic design skills for creating new Pinterest graphics

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
The House That Lars Built is looking for a creative and innovative graphic design intern who will consistently post to our Pinterest account. This will include reposting old content, products, and designing brand new Pinterest-friendly graphics. You may also help strategize and create new Pinterest marketing campaigns. We are often asked to test out new Pinterest features before they are launched to the public so you will have the opportunity to learn new marketing techniques early! You will work alongside our designers and sales team to meet product and editorial goals and deadlines. You will be in charge of making graphics for Pinterest. A previous knowledge of Pinterest is not required though would be helpful. This internship can be remote.
- Work with marketing and creative team to develop strategy
- Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
- Schedule out pins and collect data
- Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
- Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas
- Cultivate a solid body of work
- Write Pinterest captions
- Utilize hashtags on our pins
- Create Pinterest-friendly graphics of our projects or other blog posts
- Repin old content
- Re-pinning other pins that match our brand style
- Manage Pinterest analytics and track what is working well
