Melody Pettit, broadcast journalism alumna, recently became the new communications manager for the city of Branson, Missouri.
Prior to that, Pettit was a news anchor at KSPR in Springfield, MO.
Pettit said her goal in her new role is to enhance communication throughout the city.
“I have seen what an amazing place Branson is,” Pettit said. “The people here, and how friendly and welcoming and amazing the people here are. This opportunity came up and I immediately jumped at it…I’m hoping I can add a little experience and enhance and get the information to the people as quickly, efficiently and accurately as possible.”
