Christopher Wilson teaches in the Public Relations sequence in the School of Communications. He received a Ph.D. in mass communications from the University of Florida (2014). He received an M.A. (2009) in mass communications and a B.A. (1999) in communications from Brigham Young University. Wilson worked as a public relations professional for 12 years. From 1999 through 2004, he worked in a variety of public relations capacities for West Valley City, Utah’s second-largest city. From 2004 to 2011, he worked as the public relations manager for the BYU Museum of Art, the best-attended university art museum in North America. Wilson has taught the introduction to public relations and public relations writing and production courses. His research interests focus on public relations management and strategy.

He has published in the Journal of Public Relations Education, the Journal of Communication Management, Public Relations Review, and the Public Relations Journal. He has won top paper awards for his research from the International Institute for Public Relations Research Conference and the Association of Educators in Journalism and Mass Communication.
