About
DDC Public Affairs is looking for a mid-level public affairs professional to join our dynamic team as an Account Supervisor. Our Account Supervisors lead multiple client relationships and internal projects, and work in a fun, fast-paced, and challenging environment. They are responsible for all components of client and internal management: strategy setting, daily client interactions, organizing teamwork internally, and guiding and mentoring associates, colleagues, and interns in their work. Our ideal candidate has 4 – 6 years of relevant experience, is intellectually curious, politically knowledgeable, eager to learn and contribute, and has an interest in public affairs. Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Leadership: Lead a diverse set of top tier clients, developing client strategies and plans, and overseeing the execution of team deliverables for your clients
Client Service: Ensure highest quality of client service by leveraging prior experience and maintaining current knowledge base of clients’ business and industries
Business Development: Curious listener whose attention to conversations with clients leads to organic growth opportunities within key industry sectors
Staff Development: Lead internal skills development sessions for junior colleagues along with day-to-day coaching through client work and internal projects
Communications: Creative thinker with communications chops to develop not only a smart communications strategy but also excels at bringing the plans to life through the deliverables you create
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public policy, political science / government, or related field
4 – 6 years professional experience in communications or client management position related to: political campaign, Hill, Administration, consultancy, nonprofit or corporate enterprise
Confident decision maker, leveraging available information to make and defend real-time decisions with business implications for client and agency
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate talented teams and projects at once, empowering different types of personalities with a team-first mentality
Strong political acumen with an interest in transforming complex issues into digestible stories for diverse audience sets
Proficient communicator with strong writing skills and demonstrated increase in responsibilities working in a fast-paced communications environment
Willingness to learn new skills and participate in new projects, leading by example and embracing new challenges
Client travel, as needed.
Preferred:
Experience working in a public affairs agency setting or in a client service environment with proven track record of client management and customer service
Experience designing, building and executing complex communications and public affairs campaigns with policy, financial, brand, and reputational impacts
