DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES

Can you take an idea and turn it into an eye-catching post that resonates with students, faculty, alumni, and the BYU audience?
Then the College of Life Sciences wants you on our team! We are seeking a student to join us as a Social Media Specialist to manage and grow our online presence. The Social Media Specialist’s primary responsibility is to create and curate content for the College of Life Sciences’ social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. This includes brainstorming and posting creative content, writing engaging captions, and keeping up with trends to connect with our audience effectively.
If desired, the Social Media Specialist will also have opportunities to collaborate on digital signage, short-form video production, and written features that highlight students, faculty, and research.
The Social Media Specialist will also serve as a key member of the Life Sciences Communications Team by monitoring analytics, assisting with content planning, and ensuring our social media strategy aligns with the college’s vision, mission, and values.
