QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) (required)
- Must have access to personal Instagram and Facebook accounts (required)
- Willingness to learn and collaborate on projects (required)
- Ability to write and edit written materials (specifically social media posts) (required)
- Ability to attend some on-campus events during the summer months to collect social media footage (required)
- Social media ad creation (desired)
- Knowledge of MailChimp software (bonus)
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
Are you interested in social media marketing? Join the strategic marketing team at BYU Continuing Education. BYU CE hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including Women’s Conference, Education Week, EFY, and other Youth Programs. We are seeking a student to help run the social media platforms for some of these events.
This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain real marketing experience and enhance your resume before graduation. While your primary responsibility will be to help run and monitor our social channels, your tasks may touch other areas in marketing as well such as copywriting, email campaigns, and ad creation.
No previous work experience is required if the applicant demonstrates an ability and desire to learn quickly. We need someone who is reliable and efficient. All needed skills can be taught and learned on the job.
