QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
- Knowledge of non-commercial music formats and current musical trends
- Radio production and broadcast skills, familiarity with air studio, mixing consoles, editing software, scheduling systems like ENCO, Adobe Audition, RCS GSelector or similar systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work successfully as part of a team
- 3-years professional experience in broadcasting, audio, multimedia production or related field
- Proven ability to fundraise on-air, preferably during pledge drives
- Comfortable with public speaking and making public appearances on behalf of KRCL
- Familiarity with the local arts, culture, and music scene preferred
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
- Host 3-hour weekday on-air program (plus daily show preparation)
- Schedule programming in advance each day
- Assist in station fundraising both on and off air
- Production of promos, underwriting, and other on-air content as needed
- Assist with social media engagement and web posts as requested
- Create, produce, and implement on-air features
- Appearances at concerts, events, or other station promotions, when requested
- Works as part of programming staff to evaluate music programs and submissions
- Interview local and touring bands, other artists as needed
- Voice-tracking shows as needed
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, other duties as assigned

Listeners Community Radio of Utah, Inc. dba KRCL in Salt Lake City, seeks an outgoing, knowledgeable, experienced host and programmer for a new weekday morning radio program. Applicants must be familiar with a variety of musical styles, genres, and eras of music.
New members of our programming team must be musically curious, engaging, civic-minded, and community-focused. We are looking for a motivated individual who shares a strong interest in new music discovery, and a proven ability to communicate well, on and off the air.
