QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
- Writing and editing stories skills, preferably with experience in inverted pyramid writing.
- Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated and creative mindset
- Completed courses in PR, journalism, or editing (preferred).
- Familiarity with APA style.
- Ability to create graphics for digital mediums.
- Working knowledge with social media platforms Linked In, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Photography skills
- Videography & editing skills helpful
- Close attention to detail
Strongly Preferred:
- Junior or senior in BYU Public Relations Program
- Experience with Brightspot
- Available to work 2024 spring & summer terms, and 2024 fall & 2025 winter semesters
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
Create content for press releases, college website, features, annual reports, alumni magazine, donor reports, conference materials, event promotions, social media and other duties as they arise. May provide event support when needed.
