Materna Foundation, Co. is a 501(c)3 dedicated to empowering mothers living in extreme poverty in Central America. We believe No Mama Stands Alone, and this includes giving her the community support, resources, and education she needs to be successful. We work in 4 initiatives: Maternal Supplies, Education, Better Opportunities, and Emergency Actions. Since 2020, we’ve collaborated with community leaders and local health workers to empower over 2,250 mothers across communities in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Arizona.

Description of Duties: As Professional Public Relations Coordinator we will need your help with the following items–

● Writing communications (emails, memos, newsletters, etc.) to our donors and stakeholders
● Reaching out to organizations and individuals to ask for resources
● Creating connections between Materna and others through communications

Impact of Role: At Materna, we work in-depth with local communities in the States as well as in Central America. We hold events, collaborate with organizations, and disseminate information on a weekly basis. While it is critical we keep up communication with others, it can be overwhelming. We need someone who can represent Materna through writing and bridging connections with others.

As the Professional Public Relations Assistant Coordinator, you would be that key link between Materna and our partners. You would help inspire and educate others on the opportunities all women should have.

This includes the ability to communicate well, work with others, work independently, be organized, write professionally, create specific content, and find passion for the work you do.

Qualifications: Coordinators must–

● Know how to use Gmail and other Google apps.
● Be able to write a professional communication

Time Commitmentment: Volunteers should plan to spend an average of 1 hour a week working through their duties or attending meetings. There is flexibility in scheduling those hours. If wanted, more hours can be given

Supervisor: You would work with our Professional Public Relations Team Lead and Professional Public Relations Coordinator.
