DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
Be a key part of the office that tells BYU’s story to the world. University Communications is the central public relations office at BYU, responsible for creating content that helps enhance the university’s brand and reputation among audiences in Utah, around the nation and beyond. This position is a writing job, but the student hired will be involved with the day-to-day action of how the BYU PR team produces content, pitches it for media coverage and handles media issues. Be a part of BYU stories that land positive coverage in outlets like Newsweek, The New York Times, Forbes, Yahoo! and go viral on social for all the right reasons.
This paid internship is for someone who can work closely with faculty across campus to discover high-impact research, and then help our team write it up and get it in front of the public. This position also gets to see the behind-the-scenes work we do to produce social media campaigns on official BYU social channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, etc.). Apply early!
