The BYU AdLab is the School of Communications’ student-led, professionally mentored advertising agency, designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the real-world ad industry. With over 150 students involved at any time, the AdLab offers hands-on experience working with top agencies and global brands like Nike, Old Spice, Airbnb, Doritos, and UNICEF.
The AdLab is the only student agency to win a Professional One Show Pencil and serves as the official student agency of record for The Ad Council, having produced over 40 national public service campaigns. Students have earned major creative awards, including D&AD Pencils, ADDYs, and national EFFIE wins, and have consistently placed in AAF competitions.
With access to industry-grade tools—including eye-tracking and social media analytics—and a strong mentorship model, AdLab students graduate with the skills and experience to hit the ground running. Many alumni now work at the nation’s top agencies, many of whom return to campus each year to recruit.
