The BYU School of Communications Public Relation’s students and faculty kicked off a new school year by getting together at the BYU Museum of Art for an informational meeting and a reception in the sculpture garden.

Professor Joseph Ogden discussing the New York Internship Program with a PR student.
Faculty members participated in a presentation outlining various opportunities the school offers to its PR students. Faculty aimed to excite students about internship opportunities, inform them on networking events with alumni
“The purpose of this event was to help students leverage their experiences while on campus so they can catapult into wonderful career opportunities when they graduate,” said Professor Joseph Ogden. “We hope to expose students to different options available through the program so they have no regrets or missed opportunities.”
Students attended the event in hopes of learning how to succeed in the public relations field after graduation. The school offers the Bradley Lab
Students gathered after the meeting to sign up for internships, meet with professors and chat with fellow students. “I’m really excited about the option to meet with alumni so I can hear real-life advice on breaking into the jobs I actually want,” said PR senior, Erin Nelson.
